Arena Variant [Updated 02/14]

The Arena is a 6x6 Grid of spaces.
A Planar Die (D6) is used with the Arena. If playing with Planechase rules, you may choose which result you apply. If you roll a Planeswalk, you may add +1MP to your total for the turn and, if you have already moved for the turn, you may move again. If you roll a Chaos, you may move any individual within line of sight by one space. You do not need to see their end location. You can pay an additional [+1,+2,+3,+4…] per extra roll as with Planchase to try again.
During your Main Phases, each creature may move once per turn. Movement takes you 1 step per point spent.
Physical attacks can only be made on the targets in or adjacent to the space you are occupying, although spells can target anything within line of sight. Global abilities will only affect LOS, but they will affect EVERYTHING therein. Diagonal spaces are considered Adjacent.
No more than two players may occupy a single space.
Each Player gets one ‘Home’ Terrain – A single Block that completely fills a space and renders it impassable. That player must spawn in a space next to that block if possible. Each player also gets a single ‘Wall’ to block off one of the borders between spaces.
Players take turns placing their ‘Homes’, then the Walls, then themselves. They do this in the opposite of turn order.
You may move creatures individually or as part of a group. If they are in your active party [IE they are traveling with you], ignore their individual speeds. Everything with you is considered a singular group and moves at whatever your speed is.
You do not need LOS to control a creature, however, the creature does not give YOU line of sight even if it has it for its own abilities.
When a creature dies, its remains are immediately sent to your graveyard and do not stay in place.
NonCreature, NonEquipment Artifacts may be left unattended in a space. While they will still be ‘controlled’ and ‘owned’ by the individual that summoned them, their activated abilities will be available for use by anyone unless the owner is in the same square as the Artifact.
Permanents with the type ‘Wall’ May be left immobile on the border between spaces to act as a partial barrier. They will obstruct passage and LOS for everyone EXCEPT the individual who summoned and placed it. They can be placed back into a party and re-placed on a border at the cost of a movement point for the Player.
There are 4 Speeds in-game – 0/1/2/3. Each object will move 1, 2, or 3 spaces per turn, per their SPD. On each turn, the opportunity to move arises during the Main Phases. First each player moves a 3 SPD creature, at which point this is repeated with the 2s, then the 1s, then finally the 0s. A 0 does not mean a creature is immobile - they will still move 1 space per turn, however they will always move after all other creatures with a SPD above theirs. A Player or Creature may choose not to move on a Main Phase to move on the second Main Phase instead.
A completely Vanilla Creature will default to 1 movement per turn, Players Default to 2 with one movement per Main Phase, and with modifiers the speed can go up to 3 spaces per turn.
Planeswalker Cards have a SPD of 2.
Double Strike
Flanking
Flash
Horsemanship
Flying
Ninjutsu
Haste
Split second
[Power > Tough]
(+1)
[Power < Toughness]
(-1)
[Movement Ability]
(+1)
Creatures start at SPD 1. Then their speed is further adjusted based on the table to the right.
Movement Abilities are any of the 8 to the left, and do not stack – that is, a Creature with Flying and Haste only gets +1, not +2.

Tapped Creatures cannot move outside of a Party.
